1 pound fresh or frozen unsweetened strawberries, slightly thawed (about 1 pint)
1 1/2 cups orange juice (4 to 5 med. oranges)
1/4 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. lime juice (optional)
1 tsp. grated gingerroot

Methods/steps

In a food processor or blender, process all ingredients until smooth.
If using fresh strawberries, cover and refrigerate for 1 hour to chill thoroughly. If using frozen strawberries, serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until needed.

Serve this soup within 24 hours for peak flavor.
