I've always wanted to have a story and now it's starting...well not exactly now but within the past few months it has been an adventure.
I currently live in New York and have always been overweight, oh my gosh did I just admit that, yup and it feels good. The pounds would go up and down, like you have know idea...well maybe you do. The past couple of years I used to think that if I just kept gaining weight then I can get the bypass surgery and it will be easy...boy what the heck was I thinking. On June 8, 2005 I decided that I no longer wanted to be overweight, tired all the time and miserable and made a commitment that I would do it on my own, the healthy way and joined Weight Watchers for the third time and actually stick with it for more then the 8 weeks that I made it to last time (2 years ago).
What jumpstarted me was when I saw a couple of picture of myself from a graduation party in May 2005 and was shocked at how horrible I looked (see my before pictures)...boy I really was not the same person that I was used to seeing in pictures. So that is how my story starts....
I have been following the Flex Plan in Weight Watchers and going to a meeting every week. I try not to use any of my 35 extra points, and every now and then I will eat some of my AP's, but not everyday. I exercise 4-7 times a week for 1-2 hours a day. I do mostly cardio but throw in weights every few days (I have a treadmill at home and do the elliptical trainer at the gym), and boy, moving sure does make a difference. I have so much more energy and feel great when I workout. Such a rush!! And lately, when I don't get to workout I feel like I'm having withdrawals and get really antsy.
