Finding The Skinny Me |
In April of 2005 I decided that I was tired of being fat. Being 5'2 and 200 pounds just doesn't mix! I started doing the Low-Carb diet. Things went pretty well. I got down to 168. And then summer time hit. Cookouts, birthday parties, and family saying "oh one day of not eating right won't hurt you". But would one say that to an alcohlic or a drug addict? One time won't hurt you. WRONG!!! Those little slips over the summer got me off track. By January 2006 I was back up to 180 lbs. So, I started a new job and said "Time to get back on track." I did the Low-Carb thing again. I got down to 164 by myself and got stuck. I joined Weight Watchers in June. I'm down to 158 lbs. I've still got a ways to go until my goal of 120 lbs. I know I can do it. I have to leave the scales alone though! I might wake up, feeling all kinds of skinny, and then jump on the scales and BAM! There goes my good mood. At my highest weight I was wearing a size 16 jeans. I am happy to say that I can fit into a size 12 and some size 10's!! That alone is a major victory for me. My regular size bath towels now go all the way around me. I do feel better about myself. Impatience, I would say is my biggest problem. I know that I didn't put the weight on over night. I just wish it would come off over night!

I'm so happy! Got on the scales this morning and I'm down to 155!! Wooohooo go me! My official weigh in day is Monday. But I couldn't help myself! I wanted to get to 150 by Aug. 3, 2006. I don't think I'll quite get there but I should be close. Oh well. I've got 2 weeks. We'll see what happens. Stay tuned...... |

Ok. So I didn't make my mini goal of 150 lbs by Aug 3. I'm at 153. And, I totally blew it this weekend. I'll get back on track this week and hopefully show a loss on Friday. (Send all the skinny vibes ya'll can spare!!)

Wow! It's been over a month since I've checked in. I am proud to say that I am down to 148 lbs, with only 1 more pound to go until I reach my 10% goal. I am hoping to reach it by this Friday. I changed my weigh in a day to Fridays. I hated having to worry about what I ate constantly on the weekend because of a Monday weigh in. Things are going pretty good. I'm finding being back at work has more temptations than what I realized! I'll try to get another pic on soon. Till next time!!!
