January 7, 2009 Posted in Book Reviews Comments 9 Comments »

The Complete Beck Diet for LifeFirst, I have to remind myself NOT to accept so many reviews right before the holidays. I now have a backlog and I feel bad it’s taken me so long to get to some of them. That being said, I recieved the The Complete Beck Diet for Life book waaaay back in December (ok, so that’s not too long ago-I just feel bad.)

The book features the Think Thin Eating Plan. Click here to read the rest »

What did you achieve in 2008?

January 7, 2009 Posted in Weekly Questions Comments 47 Comments »

Question of the weekI’ve been avoiding the New Years Resolution hoopla. Have you noticed? It’s not that I think there is anything wrong with resolutions. I just think we (and this is going to be a gross generalization) make them too frivolously. Every year I, for as long as I can remember, was "going to lose the weight once for all". I was going to get into a size whatever. Exercise everyday. Only eat vegetables. Drink nothing but water. Yada yada. Click here to read the rest »

Tomorrow’s the Unmasking and…

January 6, 2009 Posted in Food Journals, Journal, Workouts/Running Comments 9 Comments »

..my appetite is insatiable! I’m not hungry but boy I want to EAT! That’s the worst . It’s a classic case of "the munchies." I’m hoping by writing I can help curve it a bit. Tomorrow is the weigh in where I’ll finally peak at last weeks scale number. Honestly, I can’t believe I haven’t peaked. It’s not like me, Normally I can’t handle surprises. I can hardly contain myself when I buy presents for people. I almost died while planning the husbands surprise 30th. Yet, I have NOT looked at last weeks weigh-in number in fear it would affect my mood too much. Click here to read the rest »

Review: Banana Nut VitaTops

January 6, 2009 Posted in Product Reviews Comments 25 Comments »

Banana Nut VitaTopsVitalicious recently shipped me their latest creation, the Banana Nut VitaTops. They’ve always had a Banana Nut Flavor but in a sugar free version so I didn’t pay much attention to it. I find most sugar free products to have too much of an aftertaste.

However, the new "regular" Banana Nut…. Click here to read the rest »

My Strategy when Eating at a Japanese Steak House

January 3, 2009 Posted in Food Journals, Journal, Just Tips Comments 10 Comments »

The husband does it again. I know he means well but he always seem to pick the worst times to want to go out. It’s 2 days into the New Year, I’m finding my groove again and he wants to go to carb central, the Japanese Steak House. Unbelievable, right? Click here to read the rest »

December 31, 2008 Posted in Journal, Links/Articles Comments 12 Comments »

You may have noticed I did a bit of New Years Cleaning around here. Nothing major, just rearranged a bit and added an orientation for any new readers (or old ones who may have been missing something.) Cleaning up and re-reading my own posts was just what I needed to get out of the funk I’m in. So I decided to pluck my favorite posts from 2008. Hopefully it will motivate us! :) Click here to read the rest »

Weekend Quote: New Beginnings

December 28, 2008 Posted in Quotes Comments 21 Comments »

Coming off the holiday high and with New Years right around the corner many of us may be throwing in the towel on the diet/weight loss front. At this point of the year it’s really easy to have the "I might as well wait" attitude. Thinking that it’s not worth getting back on track after the big holiday meals and indulgences we have allowed ourselves. What’s the point? Right? New Years is only a few days away.
